Data Support Engineer

Our Israeli Mend Data & Security team continues to expand and we are looking for talented Data Support Engineers passionate about the challenges surrounding security and compliance associated with the use of open-source software (OSS).

The ideal candidate is innately curious, has excellent communication skills and high aptitude, and has a desire to quickly learn new leading-edge technologies used in today’s SDLC practices.

In this role, you will provide support services to Mend customers and prospects by assisting with license and source code matching resolution queries, troubleshooting and reproducing issues, devising workarounds, and escalating complex investigations to senior staff and other departments.

  • Conduct deep research and analysis of open source libraries and package managers to maintain and improve the biggest knowledge DB coverage.
  • Communicate directly with customers on technical data issues.
  • Work closely with the teams in the Customer Experience and Engineering departments to drive customer satisfaction and product improvements.
  • Work closely with the Technical Support team to address customer requests.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or practical software engineer.
  • Experience working with Windows/Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge or exposure to development environments (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python, .NET)
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment.
  • High-level English- writing, reading, and speaking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent, Hard Worker, Fast learner & team player.
  • Willing to work flexible hours as requested to cover continental US time zones.
  • Willingness to work Mon.-Fri.


Considered a plus:

  • Knowledge of open-source software practices.
  • Experience with SDLC and DevOps tools (e.g. GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
  • Knowledge of SaaS environments (e.g. AWS, MS Azure)
  • Experience in DB – MongoDB, MySQL
  • Experience in working with customers
