Security Research Analyst

Our Israeli Mend Security Research team continues to expand and we are looking for talented Security Research Analysts passionate about the challenges surrounding security associated with the use of open-source software (OSS).

The ideal candidate is innately curious, has excellent communication skills and high aptitude, and has a desire to quickly learn new leading-edge technologies used in today’s SDLC practices.

  • Search and deeply research for security vulnerabilities in open source libraries.
  • Analyze application vulnerabilities and verify their characteristics and associated components.
  • Research and advocate for new security solutions and technologies.
  • Own the investigation flow of new vulnerabilities while working on some of the most advanced security technologies and techniques.
  • Work closely with the Technical Support team to address customer requests.


  • BSc in computer science or other relevant fields.
  • Understanding of cyber security attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
  • Familiar with Version Control Systems (VCS) protocols – Git and Subversion.
  • Familiar with popular programming languages – Java, Python, C, C#, and JS.
  • High-level English- writing, reading, and speaking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent, Hard Worker, Fast learner & team player.
  • Willingness to work Mon.-Fri.

Considered a plus:

  • Cyber Security certification from a known college
  • Knowledge of open-source software practices
  • Experience with SDLC and DevOps tools (e.g. GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
  • Knowledge of SaaS environments (e.g. AWS, MS Azure)
  • Experience in DB – MongoDB, MySQL
  • Experience in working with customers
