Product Manager – IDE Integrations

Remote, Kraków, Małopolskie, Poland

We are seeking a talented Product Manager to coordinate, prioritize, and communicate Mend’s IDE integrations, including for SCA (Open Source dependencies) and SAST (static analysis of custom code). As these are developer tools, we are seeking someone with technical skills for this role, with ex-developers ideally suited. We also welcome anyone seeking to transition from a Development to Product Management role to apply too. It’s an important requirement to have existing experience with IDE plugins/extensions either from an implementation or product management perspective. In this role, you should understand the developer jobs to be done, and be steering strategy and priorities.

You’ll be responsible for identifying and managing product requirements, prioritizing engineering teams work on features and bugs, and supporting feature launch and rollout processes. As a Product Owner at Mend, you’ll articulate solutions from concept through implementation.

Because of our need to support a wide variety of IDEs and languages, the product manager in this role will need to decide and justify build vs buy decisions, for example when to build competence externally, when to utilize external consultants, and whether to utilize any commercial off the shelf libraries to speed up implementations.

The majority of stakeholders you will interact with will be in GMT+1 or GMT+2 time zones, so a candidate in Europe or Israel is preferred. Both remote or (hybrid) on-site in Tel Aviv can be supported.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to create and groom a rich product backlog
  • Deliver product requirements and user stories for prioritized features across multiple teams and feature sets
  • Initiate and participate in engineering-driven project definition from concept through implementation
  • Serve as a voice of internal stakeholders as features are being developed
  • Ensure that all internal product documentation is kept up-to-date
  • Measure and report on feature performance metrics
  • Communicate technical concepts, constraints, and milestones to various stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Engineering to write release notes
  • Serve as the internal functional expert on all features you manage


Qualifications

  • +3 years of experience with software development lifecycle
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Product Manager or Software Architect role in a software development company or previous SaaS experience
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with a variety of audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and features at one time
  • Good planning and time management skills
  • Experience with IDEs either from an implementation perspective or product management
