WhiteSource Announces Outstanding Q2 Performance
WhiteSource, the leader in open source analysis, today released important indicators regarding their Q2 performance including: 20% personnel growth; new strategic partnerships with GitHub, JFrog Xray and Aqua (previously Scalock); and the continuous growth of their customerbase by adding 40 new customers, especially enterprise accounts.
At some customers, WhiteSource has successfully replaced some older code scanning technology with a solution that is agile, more robust, and extremely more cost effective solution that enables, rather than interferes, with the SDLC. WhiteSource showed continued strong growth, indicative of an expanding market embrace of its products.
“The story of WhiteSource continues to be of a leading technology being used by an ever growing list of clients over an expanding number of platforms,” said WhiteSource CEO Rami Sass. “The trend we see is that enterprises are becoming more aware of the vulnerabilities in their software due to unmanaged use of open source components, along with additional headaches such as licensing issues and employee fatigue caused by manual tracking of open source usage.”
In June 2016, WhiteSource announced the launch of their first-to-market Selection Tool enabling developers to identify vulnerable or problematic open source components at the early stages of coding. The browser plug-in allows developers to see full information about specific libraries they wish to use in their organization and check if the components meet their company’s open source policies.
WhiteSource announced a partnership with GitHub in July 2016 to provide GitHub users with a security solution to detect vulnerable or other problematic open source components in their GitHub repository. WhiteSource also announced integration with JFrog x-ray solution to enable JFrog artifactory users to detect vulnerable or other problematic open source components in their artifactory.
WhiteSource’s growth is further enhanced by recent deals with new clients: Autodesk Inc., a leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software; MatrixCare, the largest LTPAC technology provider; and ForgeRock, the leading open platform provider of identity management solutions.
