Shescape up to 1.5.7 vulnerable to insufficient escaping of whitespace. An attacker is able to include whitespace in their input, and as a result, they can invoke shell-specific behavior through shell-specific special characters inserted directly after whitespace or after line terminating characters and also invoke arbitrary commands by inserting a line feed or a carriage return character. All patches for this issue are included in version 1.5.8.
