CVE-2026-106072
Published:October 21, 2026
Updated:October 22, 2026
Node.js tls.checkServerIdentity() lets DNS SANs authenticate IP endpoints for non-canonical IPv4 hostnames (e.g. 127.1, 0x7f.0.0.1), because the IP check uses the original host while the DNS/CN path uses the normalized one. Fixed in 22.23.4, 24.22.1 and 26.12.1.
