CVE-2026-61548
Published:July 20, 2026
Updated:July 21, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in rsyslog's mmpstrucdata plugin. parseSD_PARAM() allocates a fixed 32 KB stack buffer (uchar pVal[32*1024]) and passes it to parsePARAM_VALUE() without a size argument, so an oversized RFC5424 structured-data parameter value overflows the buffer. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can crash the rsyslog process (denial of service / interrupted log collection) on systems with mmpstrucdata loaded and configured.
