OpenBao's ACL policy store built its policy cache key with path.Join(namespaceID, name), so a crafted policy name containing path traversal sequences could resolve to a cached policy belonging to another namespace, including the root namespace. This allows a token in one namespace to be granted policies of other namespaces. Affects OpenBao 2.3.0-beta20250528 through 2.6.2 (since namespaces were introduced); fixed in 2.6.3 and 2.7.0 (GHSA-mjch-vcw3-hhmf).
